What is Direct Billing?

Direct Billing is a complimentary service provided by your healthcare provider, designed to streamline your insurance claim process, provide cost savings, and minimize paperwork.

When your healthcare professional handles the billing process with your insurer on your behalf, you are only responsible for the portion of the treatment not covered by your plan. This arrangement proves advantageous, particularly for individuals requiring regular or multiple treatments, as it allows for effective budgeting and transparent payment tracking. This approach facilitates adherence to a treatment or rehabilitation plan by simplifying financial considerations.

With Direct Billing, your healthcare professional takes care of the paperwork, ensuring a hassle-free experience for you. This service not only promotes convenience but also contributes to an overall smoother and more efficient insurance reimbursement process.

We are able to Direct Bill to most insurance providers. Please inquire prior to your appointment to verify is direct billing is available for your insurance plan.

Are missed appointments eligible for Direct Billing?

No, missed appointments are not eligible for insurance coverage. Failure to notify Leilani Integrative Healthcare about a cancellation or re-scheduling within 24 hours will result in charges for the full cost of the booked appointment (with select exceptions). This cancellation/no-show fee is applied at the discretion of the RMT.

What happens if my insurer declines coverage?

In the event that insurance claims are declined by the insurer/plan administrator, the client will remain responsible for payment to the healthcare provider for any services rendered and/ or supplies provided.

Do I still have to pay for my appointment with Direct Billing?

Clients will only be responsible for payment to the RMT for any outstanding balances if the insurer does not cover 100% of the treatment price.

Do I need a doctors note to submit a claim?

Clients are recommended to contact their employer or insurance company directly to determine if a doctors note is required in order to submit a claim for benefits.

How much coverage do I have?

Each client is advised to contact their employer or insurance company directly to determine the amount of coverage, any deductibles, maximum coverage amounts per visit and if a doctors note is required prior to submitting a claim for Massage Therapy.
