Our Paediatric Massage Therapy Treatments cater to a diverse range of clients, from Toddlers (1 year+) to Young Adolescents (12-18). At Leilani Integrative Healthcare, we firmly believe that age should never be a barrier to experiencing the numerous advantages of Massage Therapy.
Especially during the adolescent years, Massage Therapy proves to be a valuable ally in promoting well-being. It not only provides relief from growing pains and muscular discomfort but also contributes to lowering stress levels and decreasing muscular tension. Furthermore, it has been shown to enhance the ability to concentrate, fostering a positive impact on various aspects of a young individual's life.
At Leilani Integrative Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate Paediatric Massage Therapy, ensuring the well-being of our young clients as they navigate through the various stages of growth and development. Our goal is to create a space where children feel at ease, fostering a positive and empowering experience throughout their massage therapy treatment.
Our approach to Paediatric Massage Therapy is rooted in creating a safe, comfortable, and soothing environment. Treatments are meticulously designed to address the individual concerns of the paediatric client, ensuring that they feel empowered and encouraged to take control of their bodies. Communication is key, and our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) actively engage with the young clients, allowing them to express their preferences regarding where and how they want to be massaged.
For the convenience and comfort of both the paediatric patient and their parents/guardians, we welcome the presence of parents/guardians in the treatment room during appointments.
Additionally, parents or guardians are encouraged to discuss any clothing preferences or concerns with the RMT to ensure that both the child and the therapist can collaborate effectively in creating a safe and comfortable environment during the session.
At Leilani Integrative Healthcare, we prioritize the comfort and well-being of our paediatric patients during Registered Massage Therapy treatments. To ensure a positive and relaxed experience, we recommend that children wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. It is advisable to choose garments that can be easily adjusted or removed, as this facilitates the massage therapist's access to specific areas being treated if needed.
